I don't know if this community is dead or not, but I'm looking for help identifying some stuff from this episode.
Refer to this image:
Man I didn't even think to look at that shot twice. Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with X-men lore so can't really parse much from the image. This community is pretty small and not very active so I don't know if you'll find much help here. Maybe try the X-men community over on reddit? They're pretty active over there.
Thanks anyway!
I'm not going back to Reddit, you can't make me. I'd rather just ... not know.
Lol, I still use reddit but rarely post there, prefer the smaller communities here. The X-men subreddit is pretty nice though, I like reading their discussions when new episodes drop.
Number 6 is the Genosha symbol
see here: https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Genosha
Ah, cool, thanks!
Maybe, a possible future storyline spoiler >!Dark Beast!<. They appear to be running through a lot of storylines faster than I thought they would. I am here for it. I hope we get to Krakoa.
Edit: I'm not sure why it has a 1 when it has 5 before I post it.
Wow, a lot happened. As a whole, I think this is a very solid episode. I like how organically this Nightcrawler fits in with the cast of 97 and it is nice to see him in action—tri-wielding swords! It is a shame, however, that his addition to the team comes at the cost of losing Gambit.
I like that we got some backstory with Bastion.
The continued cameos are fun but I hope they'll serve more of a purpose. That being said, I did grin uncontrollably upon seeing Rachel and 90s Spider-Man. There's so much potential for X-Men 97 to create its own MCU (XCU?)
I like the moral implication of Magneto's declaration of war at the end and I hope they won't shy away from all the millions of lives likely lost as a result. I can see and partially agree with his mindset, but it's a very morally gray area, which honestly fits with his characterization.
I'm a little disappointed we didn't get any Storm this episode, I feel like her character has been shafted this whole season in favor of other stories but there are still two episodes left.
Storm lighting up when Charles called for the X-men was so cute lol, she looked like dad just returned from the candy store with bunch of goodies. I wonder where she's been these past two episodes, she would've been very helpful in the fight against these sentinels.
Dr. Cooper's monologue was pretty cool, but also didn't she help make Genosha happen? She helped Sinistro build next gen sentinels, what did she expect was going to happen?
All the action was fantastic, looked amazing. Also, spiderman cameo was neat, I didn't recognize the other characters, will have to look em up.
Overall, loved this episode.
Loved the Wolverine tornado!
Yeah that was awesome! Also loved Nightcrawler teleporting all over the place the POV teleport looked so cool! They went all out with action this time, everyone got to look cool. I was expecting Storm to show up like Thor in Avengers Endgame lol but maybe next episode.
