[LIVE DISCUSSION] The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs - S05E09 - Eco Horror Week - 14 July 2023

I tried redoing Hungry Like The Wolf by Duran Duran for tonight, but I couldn't wedge both caliginous and callipygian in there while also referencing Bastille Day and probably-werewolves. I failed you, fam! 😫

At any rate, you should know that you're legally obligated to get sworn in before that one guitar part punches you in the feels. So, raise your right hand...

First Movie: Alligator

Second Movie: Grizzly

Well, I’ve tried to get the channel to load for 30m to no avail. Thanks a lot Shudder. It seems to get worse every week. My wife and I are going to watch Heathers instead and try the drive-in again tomorrow night.

Edit: movie two here was The Lost Boys. We’ll catch up with Joe Bob and Darcy next week.

How do you guys watch? I'm watching on the Shudder Roku channel and fired right up today.

AppleTV with backup iPhone/ipad. Usually the other channels like ghoul log will load but tonight not even that. Shudder acknowledged the issue like always, but I’m not waiting around all night.

I’ve subbed since the first marathon and I’ll keep one as long as they keep renewing the drive-in. I just wish they’d improve their dev/ops.

oh, for sure. having a streaming service that not every subscriber can watch is like having a restaurant where not every diner can eat.

i understand the 24 hour marathon frying their servers, but since then? joe bob & darcy have got to be solely responsible for >50% of all their subscriptions. it's crazy to me that drama-free streaming on fridays during TLDI season isn't shudder's top priority.
