Kbin Login
Is anyone else getting logged out when they close their browser tab?
I'm using Firefox on mobil. I like to keep my tabs clean in my mobile browser and every time I close my kbin tab, as of this morning, it makes me log back in.
This hasn't been an issue at all for the last month.
I also can't seem to access kbinMeta/newest without getting an error! So I hope this isn't a duplicate post
Today, the clearing of some sessions was intentional. But I have heard about it before. Are you sure that you logged in with the "Remember me" option checked?

When I'm using kbin on mobile, it's logged me out a lot randomly today. Desktop seems fine, just had to login once this morning.
Yep, I've also been running into this problem, only in the last couple of hours.
I believe so, but I continue to get logged out so I'll double check the next time it happens 👍
I've been logged out again as well, even when selecting "Remember me".
It definitely keeps logging me out, even with remember me selected, firefox beta on windows 10.

I could reproduce it by closing Firefox on mobile.
Then, after opening kbin.social it would show me as logged in, but once I navigate somewhere else, I get logged out
Been happening to me also at least the last 2 days. I made sure I check "remember me". Firefox/Windows desktop.

Yeah I had it twice today (never before) but it's been fine since then.
Called it too soon. Three times already today...
I was having the issue consistently today until about 30 mins ago, so hopefully we're over the hump
Autofill in Chrome fills and advances in one move, so clicking remember doesn't work with autofill. Stop the page, click remember and then advance.
PSA: Don't use Chrome, or any browser, to save passwords. Get a password manager like bitwarden. It's very easy to see what your password is with the browser saving them.
edit: for the people downvoting, it literally takes 30-60 seconds to get your email password if you save your passwords in the browser. Once that's done none of your passwords are safe.
I also wouldn't use lastpass personally. They've had some very concerning breaches and I don't feel like they take security serious enough.
Keepass xc is the way to go

Not even closing the tab here on Firefox mobile, and occasionally getting logged out.
Being logged out constantly on a browser I keep open to kbin to sit off to the side to glance as while I do other things. Its being logged out like at least every hour.

Not being able to see newest for this magazine is rough. I really like to keep up with the updates and issues people are reporting
Yup, this happens to me frequently on desktop and mobile. Using Firefox as well, and ticking "Remember me" hasn't helped either.
I've been seeing this since I installed the PWA about 3 weeks ago. I have cookies saved, but it still logs me out everytime I close the app.

Before I was only having this issue on Lemmy.
Constantly being logged out on the website, in the web app, and on Artemis. 😕
This has happened to me from the beginning. After a certain amount of time it logs me out. It kept me logged in a bit longer on mobile (used Google Chrome to make it an "app") but eventually it logged me out there too, just when I thought I'd found a way around it.
6 days later and still getting logged out. Remember me is enabled
