Nintendo has released some new information on the most downloaded games on the #NintendoeShop in Japan for H1 2023, and Splatoon 3 managed to get 4th, placing it behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Fire Emblem Engage and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

What's the deal with Mario Kart 8? Why is it so high this year? Is it the new tracks?
@DigitalAudio it's the most popular game on Switch as it is and it's easy to learn how to play, plus all the family can join in on the action
it does suck though that Splatoon 3 isn't in the top 10 best selling games though
I guess what I find odd is that it's a 7 year old game at this point
