After saving for 5 years I can officially afford less (house) than I could 5 years ago, it's silly.
1/2 my take home pay is wrapped up in rent alone. House median value for my area just shot above 500k and I have no idea who can actually afford these houses. They all sell within 48hrs though, so someone is buying them.
