TV Listing bot
I have put together a bot that will show which channels the arsenal games will be aired on. it will look something like this https://lemmy.world/post/1448889 - (this post is accurate as of today, its the channels for the next pre-season game against united)
I havent got it up and runnning at the moment because of some issues with my computer and i dont have time right now. i am going away in 9 hours and need to go to sleep! i will get it up and running in the next week or so. hopefully before the united game so i can see it running live. the bot seems to be working fine in testing, i just need to sort out my computer and then start the bot. unless someone knows of some sort of server somewhere, where i can run the bot from? for free? lol
it will run every 24 hours, check if there is a game on in the next 24 hours and post the channels to this community. the posts will come from @[email protected]
just thought id let you guys know! if theres an issue with this mods let me know

It seems like there will be a server/instance just for bots and it will be free and open. Maybe you could contact the OP.
Nice is it just lemmy.world? The bot is already signed up to lemmy world, the issue I have is actually hosting the bot somewhere. I need somewhere to have the script running 24/7. At the moment this will be my pc since it's already on but I can't guarantee any uptime reliability
From what I understand, the server will be open for bots to run in it as in a hosting, but maybe I'm wrong. I will keep an eye on the post history of the creator and will tell you when there is new info.

Alternatively you could maybe package your bot as an AWS lambda function and schedule it with Cloudwatch events: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/events/RunLambdaSchedule.html

Will add that on! It's just the basics right now done in a few hours, just so we have something. It will be in a week or so, I am going away so can't work on it for a while
I was gonna say Heroku but they apparently got rid of their free tier last year; I'm sure you could probably find one that works for you by searching for Heroku alternatives though! This looks wonderful, and thank you for setting this up! Now all we need is a match thread bot and a daily bot lol
I'll probably just throw it on my pc, it runs 24/7 anyways
But if there's a hosting platform I can find, that'd be better because my pc likes to sometimes update lol
Match thread bot and daily discussion doesn't sound too difficult, but it'll have to be another time unless someone else does it
