I may be misremembering but I think there was an unscripted line Luke's actor said in the original trilogy where he complained about the costume and they just decided to keep it in.
The writing on his chest armor is higher in the last picture than it is in the first. Draw a line across that and shift his head down appropriately. I think you're bit off.

That's because his shoulders went up, raising up the plate. Kind of like it doesn't fit him all that great, but it fits good enough for the shoot.
Good point. It even goes up between shots 1 & 2 so it must be moving on his torso.
