Imagine being this pathetic and entitled. She threw a massive strop because she didn't receive a permanent lifelong membership of the legislature, as if Lords membership is some sort of 'gift' she's owed for having been an unimpressive middle-ranking politician; and then she took that strop to the lengths of potential law-breaking in pursuit of what she wanted.

While Ms Dorries remains a member of Parliament, she can turn up in the House of Commons chamber to make her views known.

She can, but even before her resignation she had only shown up a handful of times (about 6?) In the prior 12 months, and it's been over a year since her last spoken contribution.

Why would they give her a peerage when she can't even attend her actual job as MP?
