Seems like this whole drama has hospitalised him on mental health grounds. I'm guessing she wants the circus to stop.

The article, nor her full statement, doesn't explain why it's her at all.
Depends on whether you consider admission to hospital on mental health grounds sufficient explanation for someone not issuing a statement personally. I'd say it does, but, hey, you do you.
