Xbox cloud gaming not registering controller input

I can't get any controllers to work. I have the quest 3 controllers and an og XboxOne controller. The Xbox controller is paired and shows up under connected devices.
I can scroll the cloud gaming menu and select a game by moving the dot by moving my head, and then use A to select.
But once I've loaded up a game it does not respond to any input. When I'm the Xbox app it says I have a Xbox controller connected and am good to go, but then in the game the Xbox app displays a message saying I have no compatible controller paired.

Wylaf_Beulbe: press the menu and view button at the same time to put the controller into controlller input mode once you are inside the game
As a test, have you tried completely unpairing all controllers and then re-sync just one? I'd start with the xbox one controller.

nexusmtz: You're in Gaze Cursor mode. Turn off "Use the gaze cursor" under Settings, Devices, Gamepad if you don't want to have to switch modes each time.
