Error when uploading image
The error is:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token 'R', "Request er"... is not valid JSON
A smaller image, or different format, doesn't make a difference. Not sure what to do. I tried with a 1536x2816 png, 3.93 mb; jpg version, 676 kb; and a 384x704 png version, 477 kb.

We're unsure what the issue is, everyone's been getting it. Please use a third party host like imgbb, we're sorry for the inconvenience :(
Edit: its been fixed
I get "timeout" message half of the time when trying to upload an image if this info is helpful in any degree.
We were able to resolve the issue :)
Oooh! It work now, what was the problem? Ty for resolving the issue. <3

Welp. Wanted to post some NSFW stuff, so Imgur's out. Is imgbb fine for NSFW?
Got this from the wiki https://uploadingporn.com/
Sweet, that'll help! Thanks.
Happy to help❤️
Hey letting you know its fixed :)
Sweet, good to know!
❤️
Hey, ummmm.... Things broke again xDDDD
Ah man, going to try to fix it.
And btw, is there a way to upload videos is such a way you can play it in the post without having to go to external site? :x
Not that im aware of :/ ~ external direct links should embed
Seems like embeds on desktop are so small that they are useless and on mobile version of the post there's no embed at all 🙃
If at some point in the future lemmy allows uploading videos on the platform, will you guys enable it?
Sorry for pestering you so much but we still can't upload images, did previous fix stop working or something?
Seeing the same error. My image is an 8kb 460x460 png
