Thoughts on answering questions from subreddits by replying with a link to a Lemmy post in the related community?

Looking for feedback on the following:

I want to stop going to the red place but I can't yet. There's too many people that need help there!

I was thinking of answering a relatively simple question (read: cry for help) by replying with a link to a new Lemmy post in which I would post the answer, or at least try to help.

No Worries. Although I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to try creating an alt Reddit account if you wanted to try your idea out, then see what happens. Worst case scenario, that alt gets banned.
