QT_USE_PLASMA_SCALING=1 set and it's been working no problem. Could if have been removed by the update? But that would also make the menu icons look like shit.

good news, i also have this issue, but only on my first login to a Wayland session, after which its the correct scaling

I'm still in Plasma 5 so I'm probably completely wrong, but have you set the
QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORSenv var, like on the arch wiki?I use
