Human for scale
I was fortunate enough to spend a very brief day in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks last summer. I have some better tree pictures, but angles and distance don't give a good perspective on just how huge these trees are.

Walking amongst these trees feels surreal like land of the giants. Some of them were saplings during the Roman empire when the Americas were completely unknown in the west. Everything about this forest is monumental.
