I tried playing on ps5 for 30 minutes yesterday. I wouldn't recommend a controller personally (unless that's your thing). Just with everything from passive skull tree to mapping gems to skill slots, pressing those damned health vials with the D pad... For console, and I don't actually like this game much on PC...try Warhammer chaosbane. It's way more simplistic, has a very dumbed down passive tree, but works great when playing on console.

I can't speak to the series S but I play on the series X and it works great. It takes a bit to get used to the controls.

One thing you'll run into is that you can only play and trade with other console players.

Take this with a grinder's worth of salt, but the tldr is no, not in the endgame. Even strong pc can't handle it cleanly most of the time, so a console won't either.

Now, this is at the endgame with a lot of stuff going on. Before that ? Probably playable.
