Ireland became christianised around 432AD and was pagan before then.

(What I like about the meme is that the 8th century is 'Modernity' here and that amuses me slightly)

Just twelve lads and an ancient consciousness having an absolute mad one on a Tuesday night. You love to see it.

Y'know, instead of just swapping one superstition for another, maybe chase enlightened atheism. ;)

There are lots of dogmatic things. And we're talking about non-belief-based religion in this case.

No not at all.

It's largely about practice. Community. Art. States of consciousness. Good conduct.

Belief can be a fetter that holds you back, more often than not.

i tought religion was belief-based by definition?

There is no scholarly definition of 'religion'.

Atheists' dogmatic commitment to their atheism often messes them up; I've seen it.

Belief is not related to religion, and is something both non-religious people (dogmatic politics, dogmatic personal belief) and religious (Muslim, atheist) people do.

Reject belief-based religions like Xtianity and atheism. Retrurn to ecstatic and noble practices.

As the Buddha said, "If you were not to adhere to this view — so pure, so bright — if you were to not to cherish it, not to treasure it, not to regard it as 'mine,' would you understand the Dhamma taught as analogous to a raft, for crossing over, not for holding on to?"

You mentioned things that are not related to religion at all

No I didn't lol
