Aerial photos reveal work progressing on The Line megacity
A set of aerial images has revealed work progressing on The Line megacity, Oxagon port and Sindalah resort, which are being built as part of Neom in Saudi Arabia.
The images, shared by The Line's chief operating officer Giles Pendleton on LinkedIn, show construction underway on the controversial project.
Pendleton's images include aerial photos, that appear to be taken from a helicopter, of the excavations for The Line, which is planned to stretch 170 kilometres across the country.
He also shared aerial shots of hotels under construction at the Sindalah island resort and preparation works at Oxagon development.

At this point, I just assume it’s built by literal slave labor.
Everything in the Middle East is built be slave labor. The ship in Third Country Nationals from places like Nepal and take their passports once in country.
I feel like they actually use more ethical methods for their prestige projects, just because dead workers are bad PR.
There is no PR. The only PR that even came out about it was due to the World Cup. But that was conveniently swept under the rug.
I give it less than 50 years before global warming turns it into just another desiccated ruin, half buried by the sands.

If they are still building Sagrada Familia, then a line megacity will take more than 200 years.
This will be an environmental disaster.

The Line is ridiculously gigantic: 500 metres high, 200 metres wide, and 170 kilometres long, mirrored facades and, potentially, roof-top wind turbines, east–west orientated at the head of the Red Sea
When they said megacity, this is definitely not what I imagined
