Camping/hiking in Iowa - any feedback welcome
I'm the father of 4, and we (wife and myself) want to take a week and go camping and hiking. I've done Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, and a few other places. We moved to Iowa ~5 years ago, but have yet to hike here. Anybody have a good place to hike/camp here in Iowa?
Decorah in NE Iowa and the surrounding areas are an excellent place to camp, hike, paddle and bike. Highlandvile and Bluffton are nearby with excellent campgrounds. The Trout Run Trail circles Decorah and allows for an entire day spent exploring by bike or foot.
