And this is why US won't give a shit about degrading press and democratic rights in India.
The US has a history of supporting dictators and regimes that bend to it’s will. See your next door neighbor, Pakistan amongst a few examples. Asking it to support democratic rights when it doesn’t align with US’ interests is a bit much. ;)
