The orange in packages thing has a legitimate reason though: it's an accessibility thing for people with arthritis or other limited mobility who can't peel an orange. Ideally it would be a low volume niche product only for people who need it.

Is that really why they were made or is that just a happy coincidence that's retroactively used as justification? I hear this brought up a lot with regard to gimmicky infomercial products too, but it doesn't seem to me like disabled people are the target demographic for any of this.

The saddest thing is when liberals complain about ads but shut you down for being a totalitarian gommunizm lover when you mention the big word capitalism.
