Stuck loading when logging in on safari mobile?

I have been accessing the instance using Firefox and it’s been working great but I wanted to try to log in with safari because that’s the only mobile browser where I can add a website to my Home Screen.

I enter my login information and hit login and then I get the spinning circle that spins indefinitely.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Try going through the password reset flow. Make sure your new password does not contain any dashes and is not too long.

Usually solves login problems for me.

The “forgot password” button doesn’t do anything when I click it in safari. Should I try initiating from fire fox?

I almost don’t want to even mess with it. God forbid I get locked out. I just spent so much time subscribing to the communities I like lol

You have to put your email address you used when you signed up, not your user name, into the login field, otherwise the forgot password link does nothing.

Just tried and it didn’t work. I tried with my email and my username and got nothing

Did you see a green box on the bottom left at all showing the message “password reset mail sent”?

Which instance are you trying to log into?

I'm also facing the same issue and was using Samsung Internet Browser on Android (just made a whole ass thread about it until I found this discussion). I suspect that it is a server side issue.

Hi there! There is one more thing you should check.

Sometimes on mobile, the username field will end up with a space appended to it. Can you check to make sure there isn’t a space appended to your login name that is messing thing up?

I am unable to login with Safari on both iOS and MacOS. However, logging in with Firefox works normally on both platforms.

You reached the end
