We are looking for moderators for our communities!

A lot of communities here were created by people who have have not logged on for months, were banned due to poor conduct, or are simply just one person trying to manage multiple communities (and maybe being an admin 😅).

Because of this we have a lot of communities that could use some love. If you see a community that you love that has 1, 2, or even no mods, and you would like help out and become a mod, message me here or on matrix, or message in the public or mod coordination matrix rooms and we will see about getting you added to the mod team.

  • If the community only has one or more mods that are still active we will reach out to them and get their approval to add you

  • If the community only has one mod and the mod has been inactive for 3+ months we will add you as a mod

  • If the mod has been inactive for 6+ months we will remove them and make you top mod.

  • If the community has no mods, you will become top mod.

Note: the purpose of this is to get a few passionate people from each community to run each community. We do NOT want people to run so many communities at once that they couldn't possible look at all of them. A few communities is fine, but several is putting us in a similar position to where we already are.

This is an incomplete list of communities most in need of new top mods, these communities have inactive mods or have no mods at all, the mod team would be wiped and you would be top mod, if you get one of these, you'd be expected to moderate actively, and also it would be appreciated if you posted to the community if that's possible

There’s a lot of communities where I don’t see any posts newer than 6+ months old ones. Do they still ned a mod just in case they reactivate?

I’m certainly happy to help in a couple communities, I’m lurking around mostly as this is an alt account but I’m online most days for at least a little bit.

This is an incomplete list of communities that have inactive mods, inactive top mods, or need new top mods for other reasons, none or only some of their mods will be removed if you are appointed top mod, and some communities here still may need approval from the top mod or a mod before the transfer happens. If you get one of these, you'd be expected to moderate actively, and also it would be appreciated if you posted to the community if that's possible

the request for moderation is also to keep the communities active as well sometimes, if someone has an interest in something they can request a dormant community

The reason we need mods is because we have a lot of users and only a few power mods who manage all our communities. They can't post and manage that many subs single handedly. That and we have mods who just made a bunch of communities that are still active and they left for one reason or another

I'm fairly active on couplesgonewild, gonewild, milfnsfw, and latinansfw. If any of those needs a mod, let me know. I'd be happy to help. Admittedly, I haven't done any moderation since the mid-2000s on ye old vBulletin platform but I can keep an eye out for toxicity.

In the sidebar there should be clickable account names, so you can go to their respective profiles and check for any activity on their end (at least posts & comments, not their mod efforts unfortunately).

Of those, the most active seem to have single-mods at the moment. Should I contact them and see if they want / need help? Or...

I'm down to Mod a couple noticed an earlier comment where you said you'd compile a list. I've done some message board modding. I don't have a lot of tech knowledge but assuming it's only content modding and I can do it on mobile I'd be down to help.

I have not been a mod of any sort of online community in like years but maybe I could give it a shot again. Communities I have been thinking of are CoffeeGoneWild, Grool, Softies and Precum. I prefer a somewhat easy start so I suggest I am not going to do all of them at once. I prefer to help running CoffeeGW and Grool over the others. For Softies and Precum I suggest looking at who is most active in there and ask those people, although if there are no other candidates I could still do it. I will leave the decision up to you.

  • [email protected] is completely unmoderated and does not seem to appear on your list. It is a community in which I have been posting before and it is not super active so perhaps I could mod that one (seems like an easy enough start). I will see whether I will be adding more OC there, too.
  • [email protected] is a place where I am active as a poster since recently (we need more men there besides the women), so if the top mod there would like me to, I could try to help them out.
  • [email protected] is not on your lists, but has 1 mod who seems inactive. I am posting and consuming content there, so I am volunteering to mod there.
  • I am active in [email protected] and [email protected] as poster of OC. If the mod there needs help (both are on your last list) I could have a go at assisting a bit.

These should be plenty to start with I suppose.

I don't make the communities, I'm just an admin, other people created those lol. We haven't made an effort to police similar communities, I feel like that would be too tyrannical. But maybe I could lock some of the duplicate communities with afk admins. I'll do that when I'm not at work and get back to you.

You've been added to those and the "asian" community has been removed because it was inactive and "Asians" was active. It's basically archived, I could restore it if the original mod comes back, so, no harm no fowl.

I've added you as top mod to those, I've kept all the other mods on the team though as some of them have been afk for only a few months, and others only have a small amount of communities, so if they come back they could help manage things.

Especially on the communities with less mods, feel free to add other people to help you out
