What are some cafes/pubs to get some work done?
Does anyone know any good cafes/pubs where one can work on a laptop for a while when they're not busy?
Preferably somewhere with Wi-Fi and a patio.

Any particular area? Cafe Fantastico on Quadra might work for you, it has some outdoor seats, though it does get fairly busy. I also remember Gigi's, a couple blocks down the road at Quadra x Hillside having some nice tables.
Hide and Seek in Oak Bay is never busy, the coffee is (pretentiously) good, and it's always in the shade so not too hot.
