The harder difficulties have a high learning curve as there is bullet drop and wind speed/resistance and stuff. Normal and lower though give you lots of tools to help with those things so it's easy to pick up.
I loved the invasion feature. Except that I got invaded again immediately after taking them out. Too often by the same person. Maybe they've added a invasion cooldown yet?

Sounds great then, do you happen to know if I can change difficulty mid game?
It's been a while since I played but I'm pretty sure you can pick the difficulty before each mission. Don't think you can change mid mission though.

No idea, I had the same problem a lot of the time as well though.
