Even if there were wrinkles to the case, not even going on the registry seems like some pretty gross rich-people justice, and I say that as a Florida alum. This is not some "missed the Romeo & Juliet cutoff by 6 months" thing. By all reports he had some truly disgusting, depressing images and admitted to being a regular on whatever discord or forum it was.

Maybe. Would make sense for a plea deal to have that clause in it. Regardless, it’s still disgusting. Hang him out to dry
