Favorite summertime activities
Hi! Since I’m pretty new to Portland still (under a year), this being my first summer here, and in an effort to get more discussion going here, I want to know what your favorite summertime activity here is. It would be great if it was in/around Portland, but I’m open to anywhere within a 5-hour drive from Portland for weekend getaways.
It can be trips, hikes, restaurants, something similar—I want to know!

The #1 thing people forget, especially when it's hot, is the rivers run super cold longer than you think.
People go down to High Rocks on the Clackamas river, dive in, get hit with thermal shock because of the fast transition from hot to cold, and then they drown. :(
