Custom NES Lego inspired game controller

I wanted my first Lemmy post to be memorable, so I chose this.

I recently built this out of an ikea lego box, several hundred lego tiles, and a generic usb fighting stick off of Amazon. It actually works quite well!

Ha! That’s so true. Had I been more clever I would’ve said “Australia version” or something.

I don’t want to admit how long it took for me to realize this was upside down. But it was too long.

I mean, this is how it would look if you were looking at it from the front? So it’s not that different. But, the game is totally upside down and I don’t think that would work.

Exactly. My first post on Lemmy, and it went south :p

I honestly don’t know how that happened. The photo was taken in the correct direction, everywhere else I’ve shown it and put it, It’s always the right side up. But like you said, this makes it more memorable.

It’s happened to me a couple times also. I’m not sure the cause yet, but I’ll let you know if I figure it out.

This pic's perspective gives the impression it's a PC case. It wouldn't be a bad idea...

It very well could be, but you’d have to cut out some vent holes for a fan and what not. But it’s totally doable.
