Most of the time we don't look at details because we don't have to. We see a picture and get the jist, and AI is great at simulating the jist. I've started looking for details in anything that looks fishy but it's not a natural behavior.
I got back into reading this year during the reddit migration and fully binged through Mistborn 1 + Secret History and finished Stormlight 5 a few weeks before Christmas. I read Alloy of Law in maybe two days and was so thoroughly interested in Wax and Wayne and was a bit sad it was so short. Shadows of Self seems to be a bit longer, but not as long as any of the Stormlight series or even Final Empire.

Also make sure you have two right hands and an AI-generated book with a page layout that makes no sense.
I’m glad there are people like you who point out what’s AI generated because this dumb idiot (me) can never tell.

Is it just me, or does she have two right hands?
Probably generated by AI, it messes up the hands very often.
Got confused, stockpiled 3168 new books instead of "3-168".
Uh... what if I have 170 new books?
You'll just have to read two of them to get ready. Or trade two for some old ones.
Depends on if the groundhog sees its shadow or not.
I have 4.8 Gb of books on my phone right now.
a meme of the scene from Wolf of Wall Street where character Mark Hanna, portrayed by Matthew McConaughey, tells main protagonist Jordan Belfort, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio, "You Gotta Pump Those Numbers Up, Those Are Rookie Numbers."
Where do 3 Brandon Sanderson books fall? Is that closer to 10-20 otherwise?
I’d say they count for at least two - unless it’s Alloy of Law and Shadows of Self. Been reading those recently and they’re quite short!
And for those I was wishing they were longer. They’re so good.

Same here. Two years ago and I’ve read just about everything.
I feel attacked. 😤
I equally relate to both of these comments.
Nice. I’ve got over 70 books in my “to-be-read” queue right now.
