More than 400 women volunteered to have their bits cast in plaster of Paris for this 2008 artwork by Jamie McCartney. It has since been renamed to the more anatomically correct The Great Wall of Vulva and is currently on show at the Wilzig Museum, Miami.

That’s one of my favorite pieces of feminist art because it’s not some “you have power” statement but a “listen, most people think their vulva looks weird, but they all have so much variety and look so different from each other. Your vulva is fine and unique”
