On December 28 in 1968, Israel bombed 14 of Lebanese planes in Beirut International Airport the attack was unprovoked, causing losses of $370 million. This event even caused France to place an arms embargo on the terrorist zionist state.

Israel probably did it because they wanted to destabilize the country, which was starting to heat up towards civil war. Also they were probably still pissed at the Cedar rocket program which was an actual Arab space program. Israel forced its cancelation four years prior to this bombing but they never let anything go.
