A physician didn’t shower for 5 years. Here’s what he found out.

This doctor claims that soap is necessary for hygiene, but we are using so much soap, that it's doing our skin more harm than good. Of course it is important to wash your hands before you eat or after using the loo, but washing your whole body with skincare products is overkill. 🤔
I'm kinda not buying into this guy's narrative.
Well as someone with eczema who kinda has to have a skincare routine to not look like the desert in the middle of a drought...
He is partially correct but a lot of it is misdirection and the usual "I'm A dOcToR bLaH bLaH"
People do tend to wash their skin too much and too hard as well. Its nice to scrub yourself clean but much like you can do damage to your teeth and gums brushing too hard you can do the same to your skin.
People also tend to use too hot or cold water which also messes with your skin.
Your soap or body wash also affects your skin and its health. Sometimes improving your skins health is as simple as changing the type of cloth/loofa/sponge that you use or your body wash/soap.
Oh, and obviously either wash your cloth after every shower or regularly change your loof too.
At least... I buy his comments about using products properly will improve their disinfecting jobs and that 95% of soap industry is marketing ploys.
