How And Why Is Spyke Connected To The Fediverse?

So I just noticed this right now. It's crazy I don't get it what's going on with that.? I wanted to reply to the post on the feeder verse and the spike app but there's no option to do so is that ever going to change? I checked the app on the Play Store for information and there's nothing on there can anyone explain what's going on here?

The Fediverse tab is currently a thing we are trying out.

We are trying to streamline the experience of the Fediverse (lemmy) into one where the user doesn't need to bother about the complexities of the Fediverse.

It's currently read-only, since we aren't federated to any of the other lemmy instances yet.
