Dogs experience reality 7 times faster than humans. Which is probably why they're so excited to see you have just a few hours. Just 4 hours of seperation is probably an entire day for them. So yes I do wish my lovely Chewie goodbye before leaving

That’s totally a myth, they just (on average) age 7x faster. They experience the world at the same rate as us.

Can we really be sure that animals don't perceive reality at a different rate? Think of a fly, it's able to react almost instantaneously. How can we not be sure that it's not experiencing reality at a much slower rate? Perhaps one day we might interact with intelligent beings that percive reality much faster. They may be able to process things at a much better rate.

You may think that they experience time slower, but the truth is they just can react faster. They experience time at the same rate, and they’re tiny, so signals don’t have to go far. On top of that, they evolved to have high reaction times. Try doing some activities to reduce your reaction time, and you’ll realize that you’re just quicker than you were, you aren’t experiencing time slower.
