What the hell is wrong with some people? Some old hag really ruined my day today

I am Indian. Me wife and 4 yr old twins were just standing at a pretty spacious curb near a not so busy street.

Saw an old couple approached I was holding one child and tried to smile... They were hesitant to approach.

They waited until we moved away to walk I heard the old hag blabber in disgust "these people ..."

Do they think they will get some weird shit disease if they come within certain distance from something other than their own skin colour?

How do you cope with such people…
